The Educational program was created with the intention of offering an affordable adventures in Spain to students and teachers interested in discovering this beautiful country from an educator perspective. While we offer a standard program, all of our educational adventures can be customized and tailored to the teacher/participating schools' needs.  Since we do not subcontract any of our tours, most of our groups are smaller and less expensive than our competitors.  Contact us for a personalized program for your school.

Day 1

Leaving from the US for Madrid, Spain.

Day 2

You will be welcomed by the Tour Director at the airport in Madrid. After

greeting everyone, you will begin our  tour of the city with the Royal Palace.  Afterwards, everyone will have time to eat lunch in one of the many charming surrounding cafes and restaurants around the 16th century Plaza Mayor.  In the afternoon, the tour will continue with Madrid's most important park: El Retiro, where you will enjoy the landscape in authentic Spanish style, and rent paddle boats.

In the early evening, the group will check in and will have time to rest until dinner (included)

Day 3

After breakfast, the group will depart Towards Toledo where our local guide will offer a walking tour of this exquisite historic city. Toledo’s labyrinth of narrow cobblestoned streets will carry you through centuries of stunning medieval architecture. This city’s well-deserved reputation as a living museum is where Muslims, Christians and Jews lived for centuries together in harmony. 

In the afternoon, the group will depart towards the gorgeous coastal town of Alicante to meet with the host families (Dinner included). 

Day 4

In the morning, the group  will have a walking tour of the city. In the late afternoon, everyone will take a dace class with our Professional teacher, Pilar Requena. 

Day 5

Enjoy sunny Alicante: the gorgeous beach, markets, outdoor cafes, relaxing plazas and stroll along the sea on the majestic palm tree lined Esplanada. 

In the late afternoon will visit the 10th century Castle of Santa Barbara. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing for the 50 minute uphill hike! 

Day 6

On the way to Valencia, we will visit one of the most picturesque towns in the province of Alicante: Altea where you will not only marvel at the spectacular views overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, but also enjoying wandering through its narrow streets exploring art galleries, boutiques and charming artisan shops (Lunch included).

In the afternoon, we will check into the hotel in Valencia, and later on will have bus tour of this spectacular city. 

Day 7

After breakfast, we will have a guided tour of magnificent Valencia, a Mediterranean city that has it all: from medieval castles and towers to modern architecture surrounded by artisan shops and chic boutiques.  Valencia boasts the largest inner city urban park in Europe and a collection of futuristic buildings, which house the Art and Science Museum.  

After the tour, the group will have time to eat lunch and afterwards will depart towards Madrid.  On the way, the bus will stop in the city of Cuenca where everyone should have their cameras ready to observe the well-preserved hanging houses.  This Unesco World Heritage city is definitively with to see.   

Later on we will we will continue our return to Madrid where the group will check in at the hotel upon arrival and will be part of our farewell dinner. 

Day 8

Return to the United States.

Where Will I Stay?

In our Educational programs, Worlds of Spain offers a combination of multiple night stays in hotels as well as host families (when available), centrally located in the heart of the city.  We believe host families play an important cultural role that everyone should experience when possible.
